Feeling supported, held, understood, and having a safe place where you can take all the fear of annihilation, the terror of these difficult days, is a unique opportunity, not only a rare one. We are all in the same boat, stumbled and frightened by the shadow of death, yet we can still be together in the virtual space and share our thoughts and emotions.
The deepest gratitude goes to the team of group analysts of IGA – Institute of Group Analysis in London, and to the GASI group analytic Society International members, who enabled, maintained, and so professionally conveyed such a space to many of us scattered around the world and stucked in the physical space. Need does virtue, virtuality becomes virtuous. Special thanks to Bob Harris for his professional and moral rigor in this commitment and especially for the sensitivity and humanity of his work.
