Ermira Hila studied “Health Psychology” at the Faculty of Psychology at the “Sapienza” University of Rome. In 2021, she qualified as a psychoanalyst by the “Sigmund Freud” University of Vienna in cooperation with the Albanian Association of Psychotherapy. In 2024 she qualified as a group analyst, accredited by the Institute of Group Analysis, London.

As a school psychologist, she has many years of experience working with all ages of the pre-university education system, especially adolescents. She is also qualified as a forensic psychologist and has served for many years as an expert at the courts of Lezha and Kurbin since 2008. For about 4 years she worked as a psychologist in shelter homes, providing assessment and psychological support for the developmental age in traumatic conditions.

She has formed the first psychotherapeutic group in the Albanian context as a group analyst under supervision since March 2018. She has been working with psychotherapeutic groups in several contexts such as educational, penitentiary, and clinical, since 2022, offering group therapy for teenagers in schools, for women serving criminal sentences, and for women with health security measures near the Special Prison Health Institution, also in her private practice.

Since 2018, she has been practicing as a psychotherapist with adults and teenagers and has experience in the field of individual supervision with mental health service workers.

In the Faculty of Psychology, at Luigj Gurakuqi Shkodër University, and the “Our Lady of Good Counsel” University, Tirana, she has contributed as an external lecturer of the subject “Psychometry”.

Founding member of Group Analysis in Albania since 2015, has held the role of general secretary and membership coordinator for this association. She is also a member of the Albanian Association of Psychotherapy.
